November 9, 2026 — A Scorpio New Moon forms on Monday, providing a deep reset in the midst of a double retrograde cycle. Mercury is in Scorpio alongside the Sun and Moon, and we’ve spent weeks in the underworld. This lunation is asking us to claim what we’ve unearthed. It’s time to fully release old patterns and seed intentions for when Mercury and Venus station direct on November 13, and momentum returns.

Since Venus and Mercury both turned retrograde last month, our values—particularly around love, money, intimacy, and self-worth—have been under review. Some of what’s surfaced has been uncomfortable, some has been revelatory. Now, at the darkest point of the lunar cycle, we can gather those insights and decide what we will grow from here.

Mars, Scorpio’s ruler, perfects his conjunction to Jupiter and the South Node in Leo on November 16, magnifying old habits, past identities, and the roles we’ve played in order to feel accepted and loved. This triple conjunction may stir restlessness or pull us back into what’s familiar but no longer serves us. We are seeing what needs our attention and rectification.

This is especially true since Mars has just entered his pre-retrograde shadow. He stations retrograde on January 10, 2027, and will move back through these same Leo degrees before turning direct on April 1. What ignites now is something we’ll be revisiting and refining in the months to come. The drama of Mars in Leo is just beginning, calling us to recalibrate our ego, desire, vanity, and confidence.

As Mercury and Venus both station direct on Friday, life slowly moves forward again. As Scorpio teaches us, beginnings and endings are both part of the cycle of rebirth. Something in us has died over these past weeks. Perhaps it’s a tired story, an outdated agreement, or a version of love that we’ve outgrown. We can let them go with grace, trusting that what we plant now has the strength to grow. We don’t need to see the whole path yet. We only need to know what feels true, and align ourselves accordingly.

On this Scorpio New Moon, may we honor the insights we’ve discovered on our journeys to the underworld, releasing what no longer belongs to us. May we now plant powerful seeds aligned with truth, trusting they will rise at the right time.
