May 1, 2025 — As May arrives, momentum gains, and we’re turning the page on a long chapter of recalibration. There’s a distinct feeling that something is finally shifting. After months (years!) of stop-start energy, we’re now crossing a critical threshold. Mercury, Venus, and Mars are emerging from their retrograde shadows, helping us shake off the residue of the past and regain our footing. What’s been stuck is beginning to unstick. Projects and relationships we’ve been working on are settling into new configurations, reflecting the desires, priorities, and values we’ve been reflecting upon since last fall.

The Mars-Pluto opposition in late April ignited confrontations with power, pressing on deep fault lines within and around us. That intensity marked a tipping point that clears the way for what’s next. And what’s coming is catalytic. Saturn enters Aries this month, officially joining Neptune. Together, they’re beginning to shape a whole new era. We are stepping into the architecture of revolution, with Neptune dissolving the old world, Saturn reconstructing the new. Their early dance in Aries marks the start of a larger activation, one that will culminate in July when Uranus enters Gemini, sextiling Saturn and Neptune, and trining Pluto—altogether forming a potent triangle of transformation.

We are, quite literally, in the midst of a reboot of humanity—a total system upgrade that’s dismantling outdated frameworks and preparing us for powerful reinvention. Though we can't yet see the full shape of what’s emerging, evolution is occurring, and there’s no going back.

The future is no longer a distant vision. We are building it. May’s transits invite us to step up, get clear, and begin walking a new path with courage and conviction.

MAY 2025 TRANSITS

VENUS CONJUNCT NEPTUNE

On May 2, Venus conjoins Neptune in Aries, beginning a fresh journey around love and justice. We’re upholding our ideals and finally living them, as our dreams turn into action and become reality.

PLUTO STATIONS RETROGRADE

On May 4, Pluto stations retrograde at 3º Aquarius, offering a change to pause and reflect on the collective unfolding. This is a time to examine our relationships to power, democracy, and progress. Forming a sextile to Venus and Neptune, we’re taking time to transform the world around us. The change begins within our own hearts and imaginations.

MERCURY CONJUNCT CHIRON

Mercury conjoins Chiron in Aries on May 6, while sextiling expansive Jupiter. This is an invitation to heal old wounds, especially around communication, identity, and self-assertion. Conversations now lead to deep breakthroughs if we’re willing to be honest, direct, and vulnerable.

SCORPIO FULL MOON

A climactic, intense Scorpio Full Moon forms on May 12, opposite electric Uranus while trining steady Saturn. Emotional breakthroughs bring both disruption and deep integration—what once felt chaotic now begins to crystallize into opportunity and commitment. Shifts in power dynamics arise as we implement new strategies that can evoke great change. We’re facing our fears and in doing so, transmuting them into strength and fearlessness. The more we rise to meet these energies, the more they will support our liberation from previous ruts. While we’ve felt endlessly stuck before, we may now experience sudden and potent shifts.

SUN IN GEMINI

On May 20, Gemini season begins as the Sun enters Gemini, lifting our energies and infusing us with humor—a welcome relief after some intense transits. Curiosity and connection take center stage. This is a time to open the channels of communication, socialize, and explore new ideas.

SATURN IN ARIES

On May 24, Saturn enters Aries—the most important transit of the month. Saturn crossing into Aries signals the official start of an era of new structures—one that demands courage, initiative, and resilience. Saturn and Neptune are now side by side, blurring and reshaping reality. Saturn’s pragmatism meets Neptune’s illusions, so this may feel like a major reality check for some. Saturn, the Wise Elder, offers maturity, morality, and constriction. He makes sure we’re anchored to the Earth and provides karmic reckonings when they’re due. He’s now picking up where Neptune left off—helping us rein in the sails and make our way back to shore to begin an entirely new story. Systems and structures are ready to be reconfigured, and it’s time to get to work to build our dreams. Creativity abounds, and anything is possible.

GEMINI NEW MOON

An auspicious Gemini New Moon forms on May 26, aligning with Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus—planting seeds that will echo for years. We can pay attention to fresh ideas and subtle signs. Small sprouts that appear now can grow into something significant. We’re catapulting into the air age now—and will continue to through July. Our steady attempts at liberation are now feeling more effective. Efforts hold more power as each step feels like a jump. We’re sharing ideas and joining together with intelligence, imagination, and integrity. The future is starting to feel brighter and more exciting as weight begins to lift and boulders clear from the path ahead. This lunation offers a glimpse of the bellcurves of change that lie ahead.

As sprouts become blossoms, may we honor our diligence, patience, and tenacity, trusting the momentum that’s now gaining. May we stride with confidence into the unknown as we work together to build a future in alignment with our deepest truths and visions.
