August 12, 2026 — A Leo Total Solar Eclipse forms on Wednesday, opening the eclipse vortex. If life has already been feeling intense, the next two weeks will take us even deeper into karmic compression, until the Pisces Lunar Eclipse. This is a time of magic and immense change within ourselves, our relationships, and the world. Eclipses accelerate everything they touch, speeding up our progress, purgation, and evolution. They can make us feel as though time and space have warped, or like we’ve lived months of growth in a matter of days.

This particular eclipse falls close to the South Node in Leo and kicks into motion an entirely new series of eclipses along the Leo-Aquarius axis. Over the next eighteen months, we’ll be exploring the relationship between the individual and the collective, our personal expression and concern for humanity. We’re learning to shine from our authentic hearts rather than our need for validation.

The planets are asking important questions: Where have we been too caught in ego, defensiveness, blind ambition, or fear? Have we pursued recognition or success at the expense of what we actually love?

The Leo Solar Eclipse empowers us to fulfill our creative visions and make the unique, authentic imprints we’re meant leave on the world. Our mantra could be: I’m doing this for me, because I love it, but it’s not about me, so I offer it. We can take real joy in what we create, and still, the gift is meant to move outward, to be of benefit beyond just ourselves. This is what the North Node in Aquarius encourages us to embrace: allowing what is uniquely ours to become part of something larger.

It’s time to embody our confidence as naturally as the Sun shines. When we trust our own radiance, we don’t need to prove it or convince others. As the outer planets continue to form major aspects to each other, we are stepping into higher frequencies, which the previous shape of our lives can no longer hold. We may feel ready to release old identities, relationships, or ways of orienting to the world, while exploring new ones.

Big shifts are also playing out societally. Old models of leadership are falling apart and transforming, while something more authentic and heart-centered is taking their place. As we purify our own relationships to power, self-worth, and love, each of us is contributing to changing the collective story.

On this Leo Solar Eclipse, may we stop defending the stories that no longer serve us. May we trust our own light so much that we no longer need to hide, convince others, or pretend. And may we lead, in our own lives and the world, from our enormous true hearts.
