The Astrology of June 2026:
The Heart Opens

May 1, 2026 — After May’s seismic upheavals and awakenings, June feels like an exhale. Venus is at the center of it all, weaving her way through Cancer and Leo, conjoining Jupiter, and touching every outer planet along the way. There’s a warmth to this month, a creative and generous current running beneath even the most complex transits. Something in us has been cracked open, and now light is finding its way in.

The first half of the month is tender and emotionally rich. Mercury in Cancer softens our thinking and draws us toward home, memory, and belonging. When Venus and Jupiter meet on June 9, the planets offer one of the most auspicious transits of the year. This is a moment to receive beauty, abundance, closeness, and connection without grasping. The key word here is receive. It’s time to open our hands and hearts and take down our walls.

Mid-month, the planets grow bolder as Venus moves into Leo on June 13. Her entrance carries an undercurrent of old wounds around worth and appearance. However, the overall mood lifts into something joyful and alive. The Gemini New Moon on June 14 offers a gentle reset. It could feel like a clean page, a friendly conversation, or a new way of thinking. Just after, Venus dances with Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in rapid succession, charging us with intensity, magnetism, and the possibility for genuine transformation through love.

June closes with two significant ingresses that will shape the rest of the year. Chiron enters Taurus on June 19, beginning a preview of six years of collective healing around resources, the body, and our relationship to the natural world. Then Jupiter moves into Leo on June 30, opening a year-long cycle of expansion centered on the heart itself, along with courage, creativity, and playfulness. After years of struggle, perhaps this is exactly what we need.

As June draws to a close, the sky is quietly assembling something extraordinary—a rare Cat’s Cradle configuration that becomes exact in July, offering a powerful portal to our next chapters. Our job this month is to clear our hearts in preparation.

JUNE 2026 TRANSITS

MERCURY ENTERS CANCER

Mercury enters Cancer on June 1, softening the way we think and speak. Thoughts and feelings become harder to separate, and communication takes on an emotional undertone. This is a good time to revisit what genuinely matters to us, write in our journal, or reach out to someone we’ve been meaning to connect with. What have we been thinking but not yet saying?

MERCURY SQUARE NEPTUNE

On June 3, Mercury squares Neptune in Aries. Imagination runs high, but precision takes a back seat. This day favors meditation, creative work, and inner listening over contracts and decisive conversations. If something feels unclear, it probably is. We can sit with that uncertainty before moving forward.

VENUS CONJUNCT JUPITER

Venus and Jupiter meet in a conjunction in Cancer on June 9, offering one of the most genuinely auspicious alignments of the year. This is a gorgeous day for love. It’s a time to prioritize beauty, family, and connection, to begin something meaningful, and nourish both ourselves and others. The grace available now is real, but it asks to be received rather than demanded. What would it feel like to simply allow good things in?

MERCURY SQUARE SATURN

On June 10, Mercury squares Saturn and the Moon in Aries, calling for a reality check after yesterday’s warmth. Optimism needs grounding to become anything lasting. This is not a day for discernment. We can ask honestly what structures we need in place to support what we most want to build.

VENUS ENTERS LEO

Venus enters Leo on June 13, bringing a creative, warm-hearted, and romantic mood. Grand gestures land beautifully now, and self-expression finds an eager audience. Yet as she changes signs, Venus squares Chiron, surfacing old wounds around being seen, valued, or reduced. Where have we learned to dim ourselves to feel safe? Full, generous self-acceptance is the medicine here.

GEMINI NEW MOON

A Gemini New Moon arrives on June 14, offering a light and reset after the emotional richness of recent days. This lunation favors curiosity over rigid assumptions. We might start a new project, enroll in something that interests us, or simply have a conversation without an agenda. We don’t have to know where things are going yet. That’s the point.

VENUS SEXTILE URANUS, TRINE NEPTUNE, OPPOSITE PLUTO

From June 16 to 17, Venus makes contact with all three outer planets in quick succession. The sextile to Uranus sparks something unexpected and exciting. The trine to Neptune suffuses everything with poetry and longing. The opposition to Pluto brings intensity, magnetic pull, and the shadows that come with deep desire. Great art, emotional depth, and complex power dynamics are all present simultaneously. What do we truly want, beneath what we think we should want? Our hearts and relationships are changing now. Our job is to stay centered and open, allowing the transformation to take effect.

CHIRON ENTERS TAURUS

Chiron enters Taurus on June 19, beginning a preview of the healing work that will occupy us collectively from mid-2027 through the early 2030s. In Taurus, Chiron surfaces wounds around material security, the body, nature, and worth that is not contingent on productivity or appearance. These months are an early glimpse into a long and important reckoning. We may begin to notice where we have outsourced our sense of groundedness and security and begin a process of rectification.

SUN ENTERS CANCER / SOLSTICE

The Sun enters Cancer on June 21, marking the summer solstice. This is a potent threshold—the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere, and a natural moment to honor the abundance of the earth and richness of our lives. Small acts carry real weight today. It could be a meal shared with people we love, a ritual at sunrise or sunset, or a moment of genuine gratitude.

VENUS TRINE SATURN / SUN SQUARE NEPTUNE

On June 25, Venus trines Saturn, lending commitment and steadiness to the abundance of warmth that’s now present. Then on June 26, the Sun squares Neptune, and our vitality softens. These days call for rest, stillness, and introspection rather than excessive output. Music, water, and solitude are restorative now. What does our body need that we have been too busy to notice?

MARS ENTERS GEMINI

Mars enters Gemini on June 28, sextiling Jupiter and aiming straight for a Uranus conjunction in early July. Energy quickens and becomes more intellectual. Ideas multiply, conversations accelerate, and the appetite for new experiences grows vivid. The invitation is to stay curious without becoming scattered. We are moving fast, but hopefully by now we’ve worked out where we are going.

JUPITER ENTERS LEO

Jupiter moves into Leo on June 30, beginning a year-long cycle that will last until July 26, 2027. After a year in the emotional depths of Cancer, Jupiter now invites us to lead from the heart—from courage, warmth, and genuine creative authority. This is not about performance or vanity, though those temptations will surface. It is about the quiet, extraordinary power of knowing who we are and letting that be enough. As Jupiter settles into Leo, it falls opposite Pluto in Aquarius, reminding us to offer our joy and gifts to the world not for accolades but for the befit of all.

JUNE 2026 ASPIRATION

As the heat of summer intensifies, may we soften enough to receive the abundance of love that’s now generating. May we let our hearts lead while becoming more confident and secure, in preparation for the electric transformation of July.
