The Astrology of February 2026:
THE FINAL PUSH
Giacomo Balla
February 1, 2026 — Some months pass quietly, while others change our lives. February is the latter. We are crossing a threshold that has been building for years, and by month’s end, we find ourselves in an entirely different landscape. Truth and shadows are revealing themselves harshly. While this moment carries deep disillusionment, it also offers the chance to end an old story and begin again.
The main catalyst arrives on February 20, when Saturn and Neptune conjoin at 0° Aries—the first degree of the zodiac, representing initiation and new life. This rare alignment marks the end of one cycle and the formal beginning of another. Structures, power dynamics, and ways of being that no longer serve are dissolving quickly, clearing space for something new to take form.
The first half of the month is electrified by a potent Aquarius stellium, bringing shock, rebellion, and collective vision. On February 17, an Aquarius Solar Eclipse falls on the Lunar New Year—a synchronicity that occurs only once or twice per century. In ancient Chinese tradition, this was considered a serious omen, signaling that those in power must correct course or face reckoning. Three days later, Saturn and Neptune meet, and the new cycle officially begins.
By the final week of February, Mars squares Uranus, adding volatility to an already charged atmosphere. Events may unfold quickly, while plans shift without warning. Then, on February 28, Venus and Mercury conjoin in Pisces, offering tenderness amid turbulence—a moment of grace, peace, and heart-centered connection.
The invitation this month is to stay grounded, trust the process, and remember that whatever collapses is making room for truer, more aligned paths to emerge.
February 2026 TRANSITS
LEO FULL MOON
The Leo Full Moon arrives on February 1, bringing release and creative joy amid heavy collective intensity. With Uranus stationing direct just days later, unexpected breakthroughs and revelations amplify the Full Moon's energy. This lunation offers us a chance to shine, express ourselves, and remember that our individual hearts matter even as the world at large undergoes profound restructuring.
URANUS STATIONS DIRECT IN TAURUS
After months in retrograde, Uranus stations direct on February 3, releasing pent-up energy and propelling us forward, often in surprising ways. What has been delayed or stuck may suddenly lurch into motion. We can remember to remain flexible and open to unexpected changes of direction.
MERCURY ENTERS PISCES
Mercury moves into Pisces on February 6, shifting our mental landscape from Aquarian analysis to more intuitive, dreamy terrain. Communication becomes softer, more poetic, and less linear. This is a time to listen to subtle impressions and trust what arises from our depths.
VENUS ENTERS PISCES
On February 10, Venus enters Pisces, her sign of exaltation. This transit opens pathways for deep reconciliation, romantic experiences, and gentle, unconditional connection. Love becomes boundless here—compassionate, forgiving, and transcendent. It's an ideal time to heal relational wounds and open our hearts more fully.
SATURN RE-ENTERS ARIES
Saturn returns to Aries for good on February 13, remaining there until April 2028. Aries represents initiation, courage, and the impulse to begin, while Saturn demands discipline, structure, and maturity. It’s time to direct our energies more consciously and take better responsibility for our actions. Conflicts may arise more readily, but so will the strength to stand firm in our convictions. This transit rewards those who channel their fire with integrity and perseverance.
AQUARIUS SOLAR ECLIPSE
An Aquarius annular Solar Eclipse arrives on February 17, coinciding with the Lunar New Year—a synchronicity considered a powerful omen in ancient traditions. This eclipse accelerates our collective evolution, demanding that we examine our affiliations, networks, and communal structures. Anything no longer fit for the future may suddenly disappear, and the seeds we plant will now carry long-term consequences. This is a moment to be courageous and set clear intentions. What we initiate at this time reverberates far into the years ahead. The eclipse vortex is now open for two weeks as we enter a period of karmic compression and auspicious coincidences that speed up our evolution.
SUN ENTERS PISCES
The Sun enters Pisces on February 18, shifting our focus from collective ideals to inner reflection, compassion, and spiritual attunement. This brief window before the Saturn-Neptune conjunction offers a moment to soften and surrender in preparation for the new energies that are about to emerge.
SATURN-NEPTUNE CONJUNCTION AT 0° ARIES
The Saturn-Neptune conjunction perfects at 0° Aries on February 20. This is the most significant transit of the year and the beginning of a new 36-year cycle. Saturn, which represents form, structure, and discipline, meets Neptune, ruler of dreams, dissolution, and transcendence, at the very first degree of the zodiac. This is the equinox point that archetypally carries both the excitement and pain of new life. Old paradigms are collapsing as new visions take root. This is when we take leaps of faith while committing ourselves to build with integrity. Those who hold viable ideals and the will to manifest them will thrive. Those clinging to expired realities may find the ground giving way beneath them.
VENUS TRINE JUPITER
Venus in Pisces forms a harmonious trine to Jupiter in Cancer on February 22, bringing a welcome wave of warmth, generosity, and loving connection. Within the intensity of the month, this transit offers grace, optimism, and a swell of beauty, love, and romance.
MERCURY STATIONS RETROGRADE IN PISCES
On February 26, Mercury stations retrograde in Pisces until March 20. This transit calls for careful communication and deep inner reflection. We’re revisiting plans and commitments rather than forging ahead. Dreams, intuition, and messages from the unconscious are heightened. This is a good time to meditate, write poetry, introspect, and to pay attention to whatever thoughts or old friends arrive now with serendipity. In the midst of eclipse season, this Mercury retrograde holds particular karmic potency.
MARS SQUARE URANUS
On February 27, Mars in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus, sparking considerable restlessness and sudden, disruptive events. This aspect could manifest as accidents, technical glitches, or impulsive actions, but also as breakthroughs and liberation. We might plans with flexibility and avoid making rash decisions, channeling this volatile energy into constructive change.
MERCURY-VENUS CONJUNCTION IN PISCES
Mercury and Venus conjoin in Pisces on February 28, offering a beautiful counterpoint to the month's intensity. This is a moment for heart-centered communication, artistic expression, and tender exchange. Meditation, listening to inner guidance, and sharing with those we love could become a sanctuary throughout the ongoing upheaval of rapid transformation.
February 2026 ASPIRATION
In this season of profound change, may we release what no longer serves us and embrace the new path that unfolds. May we trust that whatever we shed is making space our dreams to come true, as long as we commit to necessary work with clarity, heart, and resolve.
