January 18, 2026 — A New Moon forms on Sunday, closely conjunct Mercury and Mars at the final degrees of Capricorn. Venus and Pluto are conjoined as well, though at the first degrees of the following sign, Aquarius. The New Moon trines Uranus, loosening our grip on old patterns and the structures that have defined our past. Sextiling Saturn and Neptune, it activates a rare and potent triangle of change. We stand at the threshold—our feet now planted in earth and water as we prepare for a quantum leap into air and fire. This moment marks a crossing for which we have been quietly preparing for a long time.

The Capricorn New Moon invites dedication and resolve in what we are now completing, and the work of finishing holds supreme importance. Our values and desires feel challenged, ready to be refreshed. Old wounds around worth, justice, and intimacy are finding new shape, transforming us from the inside out.
