July 14, 2026 — A Cancer New Moon forms conjunct Mercury retrograde within two degrees, pulling us into a gentle reflection and reset. The Cancer Moon is at home in her own sign, and she wants us home too—in our bodies, feelings, and whatever we've been managing from a careful distance. Two weeks ago, a Capricorn Full Moon squared both Saturn and Neptune in Aries, sparking confusion and stress while pressing hard on the gap between our fantasies and reality. This New Moon is a soft realignment after that schism. It's a return to our loving hearts, and to both giving and receiving ample nourishment, support, and care.

Mercury retrograde is keeping us quiet and inward, helping us into an important inquiry. Where have we become so self-sufficient that we've stopped letting anyone close enough to help, or to see our tenderness? This isn't the moment to answer that out loud but to feel it, to relax our nervous systems into remembering that it's ok to release our defenses. We can take a bath, massage our feet, and let ourselves cry as an important recalibration.

In the background, Jupiter, newly arrived in Leo, is joining Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in a wide, supportive formation that will be exact on July 20. In the cacophony of great change, we can feel that something is loosening its grip further out. After reaching the bottom of the bell curve and touching darkness, the curve is preparing to climb back toward the light. Meanwhile, this small dark Moon asks for something much closer in. Can we feel the new world we're preparing to birth? The new life? The new way of loving? Are we willing to take down our armor to fully receive it?

On this Cancer New Moon, may we allow ourselves to be held and loved. May we feel our way into what we're building, allowing our tears to bless the fertile soil that will bring new life.
