The Astrology of 2026:
The Year the Future Holds
Mariano Peccinetti
After years of standing at the threshold, 2026 is the moment we finally cross. In 2020, we began a birthing process with the unrelenting Capricorn conjunctions. Since then, we’ve been dismantling structures that no longer serve us, without knowing what will take their place. We’ve encountered waves of intensity, brief openings followed by contraction, and the exhausting work of releasing what doesn’t belong in our next chapter.
The past several years have asked us to keep going blindly, without knowing whether our efforts would pay off. 2025 felt especially liminal. We straddled the end of one era and the beginning of another, catching glimpses of the future only to be pulled back into cyclical patterns and frustrations. The process demanded our faith and resilience as we stood at the edge of change. In 2026, momentum finally holds.
Pluto is now firmly in Aquarius, while Saturn and Neptune return to Aries and remain there. Soon after, Uranus reenters Gemini. Together, these planets form a rare geometry of trines and sextiles—what I call a Triangle of Revolution. We saw this pattern flicker briefly in 2025, only to dissolve as the planets slipped back into their former signs. This year, the configuration stabilizes. Where the conjunctions of 2020 compressed and constrained us, this alignment favors movement, innovation, and breakthrough. The new paradigm begins to anchor.
On a collective level, so much has been forming beneath the surface—beneath fear and power grabs, as many desperately clung to the past. We've been seeding new forms of leadership, organizing society, and relating to technology and each other. In our personal lives, many of us are ready to transcend obstacles that once felt immovable.
Meanwhile, all three Mercury retrogrades fall in water signs in 2026, alongside a rarer Venus retrograde that begins in Scorpio. Even as we accelerate, we remain tethered to emotional truth—tending to memory, grief, and unfinished psychic material. We move firmly into the future without abandoning ourselves, allowing our transformation to be both electrifying and deeply human.
2026 ASPIRATION
In this new year, may we rally the courage to finally begin what we've held only in our dreams, and the tenderness to root it in compassion. May we remember our interconnection, shared joy, and love for the world, building our future accordingly.

THE TRIANGLE OF REVOLUTION
The defining feature of 2026 is the stabilization of a rare geometric pattern formed by the outer planets in fire and air signs. We are crossing from an Earth age into an Air age, and this configuration represents that shift.
Pluto continues its long journey through early Aquarius, transforming collective power structures, technology, and governance from the ground up. At the start of the year, Neptune and Saturn re-enter Aries, igniting a period of spiritual vision, accountability, and hard work. Manifestation energies run high. We can harness them if we remain dedicated and inspired. In late April, Uranus crosses into Gemini, completing the configuration. Uranus is the planet of shock and sudden change. In Gemini, he electrifies communication, media, and education.
Together, these planets form a network of trines and sextiles—aspects of flow, opportunity, and creative collaboration. Unlike the tense squares and conjunctions that dominated the early 2020s, this geometry favors forward motion and genuine innovation. We're entering a highly creative time, charged with the potential to finally make our dreams real.
What we begin now has traction. This is the astrological infrastructure for a new era—one oriented toward collective intelligence, rapid evolution, and decentralized power. We’re liberating from stuckness on personal and collective levels, shooting forward like comets.
SATURN CONJUNCT NEPTUNE IN ARIES
FEBRUARY 20
Every 36 years, Saturn and Neptune meet to begin a new cycle. Their last conjunction occurred in 1989 in Capricorn, a year that saw the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of Cold War binaries. Before that, they met in 1953 in Libra, the year the Korean War ended through armistice—a fragile but significant peace achieved through diplomacy.
The 2026 conjunction occurs on February 20 in Aries. It is unprecedented in our lifetimes. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, representing initiation, individuation, and the courage to begin. This conjunction is about dismantling and rebuilding. We’re releasing old stories, identities, and ways of moving through the world, while committing to something new. Saturn asks us to take responsibility for what we start, while Neptune dissolves what no longer serves us. Together, they invite us to let go of who we were and commit to who we’re becoming.
What are we willing to begin that is bigger than ourselves? What vision are we ready to give form? What are we finally ready to let die so that something truer can emerge?
This conjunction sets the tone for the next three and a half decades. It invites us into a spirituality that is embodied, active, and willing to lead. We aren’t meant to come from ego, but aligned purpose. The old paradigm marked by spiritual escapism dissolves, and the planets replace it with a call to show up, embody our strength and resilience, and build the world that’s only lived in our dreams.
URANUS RE-ENTERS GEMINI
APRIL 25
Uranus spends approximately seven years in each sign. His ingresses mark generational turning points, colored by whatever sign he’s in. For the past seven years, Uranus in Taurus has disrupted our relationships to our bodies, the Earth, financial systems, and material security. Now, as Uranus returns to Gemini on April 25, revolution moves to the realm of the mind.
Gemini rules communication, information, learning, local community, transportation, and the networks that connect us. Uranus here is ready to radically transform how we think, speak, and share knowledge. Media will continue to fracture and evolve, and education systems will be forced to reform. AI is certain to be central to the disruption.
The last period when Uranus transited Gemini was 1942–1949, which included the birth of the computer age, the splitting of the atom, and massive restructuring of global communication in the aftermath of war. We are entering a similar threshold. While the breakthroughs will be exciting on some level, they could also be destabilizing. The way we think, communicate, and travel are ready to undergo permanent alterations.
CHIRON ENTERS TAURUS
JUNE 19
Chiron, the Wounded Healer, leaves Aries and enters Taurus on June 19, beginning an eight-year journey through the terrain of sensuality, resources, and safety. Chiron in Aries (2018–2026) exposed wounds around identity and the right to exist. With Chiron in Taurus, the focus shifts: Do we feel safe in our bodies? Do we trust that there is enough? What does true nourishment mean?
This transit brings our relationship to money, food, land, and survival into view—not to punish us, but to heal what has long been unsettled. We are invited to slow down, re-inhabit our physicality, reconnect with the Earth, and redefine value from the inside out. Chiron in Taurus teaches us that security doesn’t come from grasping, materialism, or accumulation. It comes from cultivating presence, steadiness, and true worth.
JUPITER ENTERS LEO
JUNE 29
Jupiter enters Leo on June 29, opening a doorway into some of Jupiter's highest manifestations: creativity, warmth, generosity, playfulness, the joy of self-expression, the courage to radiate our light. Jupiter in Leo wants us to lead from the heart, create boldly, and celebrate being alive. This is beautiful and necessary medicine after years of contraction.
However, we are not moving through this transit in isolation. Pluto in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo challenge us to hold our expansion with integrity. We cannot forget to offer our talents—not for ego gratification, but for the benefit of all. Jupiter opposite Pluto, exact in early July, is not a casual transit. It confronts us with questions of authority, ego, and collective responsibility. If we slip into grandiosity, abuse power, or make it all about us, there will be karmic consequences.
This configuration will bring reckonings for those operating from neurotic Leo—the desperate need for recognition, hunger for fame, or inflation of self at the expense of others. The invitation is to shine our light in ways that benefit others. Meanwhile, art is ready to function as a powerful catalyst for collective change.
THE ELECTRIC SHOCK OF JULY
July is the most volatile month of the year—a concentrated period of sudden action, breakthrough, and collective intensity. On July 4—the 250th anniversary of the United States—Mars, planet of war, conjoins shocking Uranus in Gemini. This is a revolutionary alignment that holds the potential for unexpected events, the impulse to break free, and energy that explodes like a metaphorical firecracker. The fact that it lands on such a symbolically charged date for America is significant. The country's relationship to its own mythology, founding ideals, and current fractures are likely to be under immense pressure.
This Mars-Uranus conjunction feeds directly into the Uranus-Pluto trine, exact from July 7–31. The Uranus-Pluto cycle is one of the most significant in mundane astrology, associated with periods of revolutionary upheaval and collective transformation. A trine is a flowing aspect, suggesting that the changes of this period, while profound and destabilizing, carry genuine creative potential. We had a first pass of this trine in late summer 2025, but it soon fell apart with retrogrades. Now, it returns with Mars, adding tremendous fuel, acceleration, and urgency.
This is a month to act on what we've been preparing for—to take risks that align with our deeper evolution. This energy is rapid, catalytic, and impatient. It will sling shot us toward long-awaited shifts, in all facets of our lives.
VENUS RETROGRADE (SCORPIO TO LIBRA)
OCTOBER 3–NOVEMBER 13
Venus stations retrograde on October 3 at 18° Scorpio, retreating back into Libra on November 13. During this time, the planet of love and balance spends forty days reassessing intimacy, trust, power, equity, and relational agreements. In Scorpio, Venus retrograde plunges into the underworld of relationship. Here, she’s unearthing secrets, deepening emotional honesty, and demanding that we confront whatever we've been avoiding.
Where have we merged in unhealthy ways? Where have we withheld ourselves out of fear? What do we truly desire, beneath our defenses? As Venus moves back into Libra, the focus shifts to justice, fairness, and reciprocity. This is a recalibration of romance and partnership. What do we truly value? What have we been settling for? Where have power imbalances eroded trust? Are we showing up as equals? Venus retrograde rarely gives easy answers, but it clears space for more honest, balanced relating.
It’s important to mention that Venus also rules money and resources and there are often dips in the market that coincide with her retrograde cycle. In Scorpio and Libra, Venus is asking us to reflect upon power imbalances in our economic systems, and rectifications could be in order.
