Aries Full Moon:
stepping into our new selves
September 24, 2018 — Happy Aries Full Moon! Today’s Full Moon is painful and cathartic—a climax of energies after a summer of retrogrades and eclipses. Now the planets are asking us to step into our new selves. Arriving in the midst of two T-Squares, we’re pushing forward, making commitments around what we want to discard or prioritize as we move into the future.
Saturn is at the tip of a T-Square, sandpapering us with karmic reckonings and a dose of painful reality. Where do we need to become more discerning or responsible? We are now able manifest our desires, but what do we desire? And is it coming from pure intention?
With Uranus forming a trine to Saturn, this isn’t the moment to choose what is safe, familiar, or unhealthy. We’re embracing what is liberating, new, and aligned with our highest ideals. This requires risking our vulnerability and stepping into discomfort for the sake of growth. The Sun is conjunct Mercury, and with warriorship, we’re becoming more honest in our communication—less afraid to speak our truths directly, and from our hearts.
Love and sexuality are in question as never before. We’re reconstructing our values around how we relate to one another, while the feminine and masculine form a tense dance. What do masculinity and femininity even mean? We’re in the process of redefining both.
The Full Moon conjuncts Chiron, and it’s time to open into deep healing, owning our tenderness with greater courage. We’re learning to express our feelings with radical honesty so we can become more of who we are—establishing deeper connections and intimacy with people who better match our frequencies.
Our work now is to embrace our authenticity—accepting ourselves without worrying what others may think. Judgments, after all, are merely projections of what we haven’t dealt with inside ourselves. From this place of genuine-heartedness and neutrality, we can organize our thoughts and clarify our plans. Our road maps are crystalizing, our paths unfolding more easily, with the gentle, yet relentless support of gravity.
It’s most important now to relax with what is, and who we are—trusting our unfoldment. We can open to change, pain, and surprise, and allow it to expand our hearts. Meanwhile, we can remember the most important truth of all — We are beings of love. Our worlds change according to how we how we think—and how much we’re willing to open our hearts and feel.
On this Aries Full Moon, may we mature with the cooling weather. May we find the sweet spot between our boundless hearts, and our clarity, intelligence, and discernment.
