October 28, 2023 — On Saturday a Full Moon lunar eclipse forms at 5° Taurus, falling on the Aries north node, bringing a culmination of eclipses in Taurus. This eclipse is in a wide conjunction to Jupiter while opposing Mercury and Mars in Scorpio. We’re still trying to balance aggression with peace, unhealed trauma with simplicity and stillness.

Jupiter gives us the feeling of quiet hope, even with our Scorpionic shadows on full display. The oppositions from Mercury and Mars are reminding us of humanity’s painful depths. We can honor our fear, worry, and outrage, recognizing them as pathways to wholeness and to feeling indestructible inner security and peace.

With Venus, Taurus’ ruler, forming a harmonious grand trine, we may experience a culmination of energies that began brewing over the summer. We are stepping into greater awakening, authenticity, and healing. Relationships of all sorts are beginning to make more sense as we cross the threshold into fresh dynamics and priorities. Our values and self-love are crystalizing as we surrender to the present moment, recognizing what we can and cannot control.

Sometimes pain, anguish, and loss are the alchemizers that strip us to the truth of being—to what is real, authentic, and important. There is no hiding with this lunar eclipse, within ourselves, our relationships, or on the world stage. We are witnessing enormous struggle and brutality in the collective sphere that show no signs of letting up. How do we still love each other and the world? Now more than ever, we need our strength and resilience to love fearlessly and to become warriors of peace—tender, unwaveringly compassionate, and unafraid of truth.

On this Taurus lunar eclipse, may we find the courage to face the truth and still love the world. May we acknowledge our shadows while remaining present with our bodies—embracing both the pain and pleasure of being alive.
