May 19, 2023 — A Taurus New Moon arrives on Friday, ending eclipse season while amplifying the energies of the Bull. This has been a particularly potent month. We’ve plunged into the underworld with the Scorpio lunar eclipse two weeks ago, eliciting our fear, resistance, and pain while illuminating where we need to heal. Now, with Jupiter in Taurus and the New Moon forming at the same time, we’re ready to return to simplicity and peace. We’re healing our self-worth, anchoring into our true values, and feeling more secure in who we are. We can touch earth, resetting by slowing down and partaking in simple pleasures and self-care.

This New Moon is a gentle reminder that true beauty and connection are internal. Evolved Taurus has met her depths and radiates with peace, wholeness, and the embodiment that comes when you truly know yourself. 

As the Moon forms a wide conjunction with Uranus and a supportive trine with Pluto, we can appreciate the deep transformation that we’re undergoing. We aren’t rushing—we’re healing from the ground up, taking small but potent steps toward our goals.

Any projects or relationships that we’re initiating would benefit from consideration and care, rather than plunging or lunging forward. We can take time to plant seeds and walk the paths we’ve been laying for ourselves. Meanwhile, it’s important to breathe deeply and enjoy our lives as we dance, cook, eat, garden, and stroll through nature. We can even remember to enjoy our work and menial tasks. 

This is ultimately the lesson of Taurus—to understand that pleasure and decadence are essential, not superfluous.

Surrounded by flowering trees, may we slow down and appreciate the lushness of spring and the beauty of the phenomenal world. May we emanate with deep worthiness as we honor our shadows and love them, emerging from the underworld to set the flowers in bloom.
